Hey, y’all! Welcome to another episode of Dairy of a Baby Geh 😜! How has August been for you? Great, I hope? I know you are probably wondering why I haven’t posted much this month. Truth is, I have been up to a lot of things.
I was supposed to have a program this month for Teenagers; though I spent time planning for the event, I had to postpone due to venue issues. Asides that, I have been attending interviews from places I sent applications to (expecting hopeful callbacks by God’s Grace), still sending out applications though.
Ehen! The topic of job applications brings me to this: abeg! Mbok! Biko! Ejo! I know sending out job applications can be a bit frustrating and tiring especially if you have not been getting callbacks. But abeg tho, it should not result in you sending haphazard job applications out; like just sending a copy of your CVs without any cover letter attached or anything. Really? No no, na only you get CV? Truth is, your cover letter is where you sell yourself, that is what makes you stand out from other candidates.
Finally, when you do get a callback..abeg attend your interview. The issue with most of us is that we like to seek people’s approval and opinion. Truth is, the only person’s approval you need is God. I get angry when my friends tell me stuffs like the reason why they did not take a particular job or go for an interview was that someone said this or that.
Seriously though? It is good to ask for people’s opinions, I mean that is one of the reasons why we have people in our lives in the first place, to support, advise and encourage. Sometimes, people tend to pour their insecurities and fears on you. What they are scared to do, they end up pouring it on you. Do you get ba?
So bottom line, seek God’s face, go for your interview. If it is meant for you, it will happen. Okay, I am done motivating lol.
I hope this helps someone! Lemme drop this here Oookkurrr!
Thank you and love ya💜💜💜💜
