Cious Kilo

Hey fam, welcome to another beautiful Monday and another Man Crush Monday with Deespeakble. Just so you know we are still in the business of celebrating people. Cious Kilo whose actual name is Precious Okilo is an ex course mate of mine and a very good friend. I have watched him grow from performing in different school events to releasing his own single and I must say I am a proud friend. Let’s get to meet him…

About Cious Kilo…….

My name is Cious Kilo aka Obenema. I am from Bayelsa State and a graduate of Nasarawa State University, where I studied Languages and Linguistics.

Just like most creative people, he discovered his love for music at a very young age…..

From kindergarten to be honest, because from what I remember people told me that I was always hitting my desk (playing drums). In primary school, I had a group were we remixed secular songs into the gospel. That was how I started writing songs, but then it was more of a hobby than it is now as a profession.

I asked him when he summoned the courage to start and he had this to say……

It was in 2011 when I did a cover for Ice Prince’s #Oleku.

On taking it to a professional level, He took time to explain what his first single titled ‘Skeh For the Boy’ was about…

I took it pro by releasing #SkehForTheBoy last year with the level of my delivery and the type of sound I put out. The song was about a superstar having so many girls lurking on him but he still pays attention to the love of his life.

On the journey so far……

I am fortunate to have a producer as a friend. He understands my sound and all I stand for. We are working to get the necessary recognition and we know stuff like this takes a lot of hard work and persistence to achieve. I hope to get signed soon. I see it coming hence why I’m not slacking. Everything on God!

That is it fam! You can keep up with him on Instagram @cious_kilo1

Thank you for stopping by, God bless.

What do you think?
