Hey guys! How have you all been? It has been a minute! Sorry for the break in transmission but I had to take a necessary break from the blog.
It feels good to be back and I have a feeling that this is going to be the beginning of something beautiful for the entire Deespeakable family!
So, most of you would have noticed that I started a tradition of creating a blog post for every new chapter of my life, I created for chapter 23, 24 and I am super grateful to God to be creating for chapter 25, yay!
Each of these blog posts have been about me sharing my experiences in the previous chapters of my life. Though this post took a while, this chapter is not different from the rest, I have had to unlearn somethings, I have also discovered and learned new things.
Usually, in my head or sometimes physically, I create a list of what I hope to achieve or who I hope to be before my birthday and I can tell you with my full chest that it has not always worked out the way I wanted.
Not because it is not achievable but because I have been going about it the wrong way. I realized I have been giving myself time limits, deadlines for certain things that I am supposed to achieve and learn as I navigate through life, things that are not automatically going to happen because you are counting down days or months to your birthday. They happen due to your commitments, dedication and most importantly, at the right time.
I realize that once it is my birthday and those to-do list have not been achieved, I wrap it all up until the following year, while I ignore the fact that realistically, every day in the year is a gift and an opportunity to work towards those list and goals.
As silly as it may sound, a lot of us have the habit of doing this and this is me telling you that you are not alone and we can still get it right.
Our goals and aspirations are not limited to ridiculous deadlines. While it is okay to keep yourself in check, it should not be a limiting factor.
I have also come to the understanding that whatever God does for us; in terms of His blessings, His love and His mercies, it is not because of what we do or how we act or how much we pray. i know you are probably wondering “why are you just discovering this?” well, though I have always known this but I feel like sometimes we get carried away and think it is by our power or might.
A lot has happened this year and it keeps getting clearer and clearer that we are standing only because of God’s grace and love.
Thirdly, I have also come to understand that imperfections do not define you and or be a limiting fact because God loves you. With time, if you trust, put in some effort and believe, you will definitely become a better person or a better version of yourself.
Lastly fam, never underestimate the power of prayers even on your worse days. Trust me, it may not look like it, but God listens and He answers prayers.
Yes! I will wrap it up here lol, I hope you have learnt and thing or two and I hope you have been inspired?
Have you come to the understanding of anything lately? Feel free to share it in the comment section.
Thank you for stopping by,
